The Cairngorms in Autumn 12th-16th October 2026. £1375.
Where Autumn meets Winter.
Join me on the northern slopes of the UK’s largest upland area, The Cairngorm Mountains. We’ll be exploring the vast forests of Rothiemurchus and the Spey Valley, visiting many lochans and crags that provide stunning views into the mountain range that typically sees the first winter weather in Scotland, and all with woodland colour coming into peak condition. Based near Aviemore we’ll be perfectly placed to visit some of the most iconic viewpoints in the area but with many, many years of visits to the area under my belt I’ll be taking you locations that have not suffered the consequences of being too popular and we’ll be able to enjoy plenty of peace and quiet while we photograph.
The course fee of £1375 covers five days of guidance and tuition, four nights’ accommodation and all meals (some home cooked and some out at local eateries), transport to and from locations during the week. Not included; transport to and from the area, alcoholic beverages/drinks with meals out and holiday insurance. A deposit of £375 is required to secure a place on this workshop with the balance of £1000 due 8 weeks prior to the start of the course. Please make sure you have read the Ts&Cs at the bottom of this page before securing your place. Just four places in total on this workshop which can be booked below.
